Suvechhya Bastola (RIBB PE manager): “Being a science student and then a lab-based researcher, I never had an opportunity to work directly with the community and especially children. So, when Alba got in touch with us to start this project, I got very excited about the opportunity of being directly linked to our community and to the basic needs of our society regarding scientific research and development. Moreover, working with school students and helping them understand science better and in a more practical way, is what our education system truly requires which is something that, even us as students, never had an opportunity for. I feel very excited and motivated to lead this project in Nepal and hopefully be able to groom a new generation of science-loving kids”
Sunita Paudel (Science Teacher at West Wing School, Lubhu, Nepal): “Engage Nepal with Science has really helped both the students and teachers a lot. Science subject itself is a practical subject, but in some of the cases we were unable to be practical in the class because of lack of materials and sometimes confusion in the handling procedures of specific equipment. The workshops that Engage Nepal with Science delivered were really fruitful to the students, as well as the teachers, and we got the chance to learn new things. As a teacher I feel if the students enjoy the class with full enthusiasm then that is the best result than any written exam, even if they got 100 out of 100. So, we are very grateful to Engage Nepal with Science and also hope for the same help and support for the upcoming days”
