Fundraising Lunch for Educational Charities in Nepal: 15th Nov 2026
We are delighted to invite you to this year’s fundraising lunch in support of Engage Nepal with Science and the Geeta-Alba Education Foundation, two educational charities working in Nepal.
About the charities
Engage Nepal with Science is a registered Scottish charity (Charity No. SC050929) that works with schools and communities to empower, inspire and build confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The charity places particular emphasis on supporting women and girls from underprivileged and rural communities. It believes that STEM education encourages critical and innovative thinking, helps people make informed decisions, promotes a fairer and more inclusive society, and supports positive social change.
Geeta-Alba Education Foundation is a Nepal-based foundation established in 2016 to support school students affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on 25 April 2015. The foundation helps students continue their education by providing scholarships. Since its establishment, it has funded the education of five students attending schools in Lubhu and Thaiba, two villages in the Kathmandu Valley and a university student in Lumbini. These scholarships cover school tuition fees, textbooks, examination fees and transportation expenses.

The event will take place on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 12 noon at the Gurkha Bar & Restaurant, 96 N High Street, Musselburgh, EH21 6AS.
Enjoy a delicious Nepali buffet lunch, with vegetarian options available, while learning more about the inspiring work of these two charities and the difference they are making to educational opportunities in Nepal.
