The story of Walther Flemming and the dividing cells – online session

Today, Alba Abad, our founder and member of our UK-based researchers team had a chat with students from two schools of the Tanahun District (Nepal): Shree Saraswoti Model Secondary School and Shree Janakalyaan Secondary School.

We learned about the german biologist Walther Flemming and why it is important to continue his research to further understand the process of cell division. We even watched a cell dividing! We had a very nice discussion with the students about why basic research is so important.

Thanks to the Teach for Nepal science fellows and teachers at the schools: Bibek Kandel, Bigyan Pandey and Bhawana Paudel for coordinating this!
